Monday evening Scuderia Toro Rosso has introduced a new car. Team manager Franz Tost told about its features and plans for the coming season, and a few minutes later, Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Kwiat pulled the protective cover from the STR9.

Franz Tost , Team Principal: “Season 2014 promises to be interesting from several points of view. I call it the year of the new strategy and constant innovation. We had to develop a new nose cone, new side pontoons , new spoilers – never before had so early we did not start work on the project .

Side pontoons have become more – you need to find a place for large radiator cooling systems. The team coped with his work, placing them without loss of aerodynamic efficiency. In the last two weeks of work on the basis of STR9 was an incredibly hectic. The officers remained until two o’clock in the morning to complete everything, but we managed.”

STR9 retaining its traditional coloring, and the corresponding new regulations nose cone came out very original and not everyone liked. However, the engineers of the Italian team such a solution seemed to be most effective.
