Perez still at front in Bahrain

The Mexican driver of Force India achieves again the best lap of the 6th day of pre-season testing of Formula 1 in Bahrain. The Mexican now will not back to the Force India until the free practice of the Australian GP.

Similar morning on the track today, like what we saw yesterday. Sergio Pérez (Force India) has led, powered by Mercedes. Precisely, Mercedes had caused the first red flag of the day with Lewis Hamilton who crash into protections of the circuit. Anyway, the Brit driver can follow the session and he did a lot of laps.

The following red flag was caused by another Brit, Jenson Button with Mclaren.

In general, the morning session has been close to yesterday with Mercedes motors at front, Red Bull and Lotus with troubles, Caterham with stress and the Ferrari’s teams, with Marussia included who make a good progress.

That was the Top 5 on Morning: Pérez, Alonso, Button, Bianchi and Hamilton.

At the afternoon, the problems came back to Lotus with Pastor Maldonado who saw his car on fire. Disastrous last day for the Venezuelan driver, who will not be on the E22 until the FP1 at Australian GP. Also we saw problems for Mercedes at the afternoon. The German squad, due to gearbox problems, finished the day with 89 laps.

The second red flag of the afternoon was also another Renault car, in which case, was Caterham, with Marcus Ericsson on board who saw that his car burnt as well. But it was a good day for Caterham who completes a lot of laps. Like Red Bull who didn’t had any problem and Ricciardo started to get competitive laps, achieving the third position at the end of the day.
