Sergio Pérez was the fastest today on the first day of the third round of 4-day-testing of Formula 1 in Bahrain. The Force India alongside with the Merceds of Nico Rosberg, had dominate the day.

As always, the red flags had been again on the track during this first day of the last 4-day-testing in Bahrain. Kobayashi with his Caterham caused the first red flag of the day, due to a gearbox problem. The last red flag of the day had been caused by Pastor Maldonado with his E22, after update the software of the Lotus Car.

But on the track, Rosberg and Pérez with powered by Mercedes-Benz motors dominated the morning session. A session that the cars had had a good running, with Red Bull and Ferrari as well.

On the afternoon session we also have some red flags. The first was Daniil Kvyat who stopped on the turn 2. A software problem on the Renault motor was the problem of the Toro Rosso and also of the Lotus and Caterham. But Lotus also had problems with exhausts and finished the day one hour before the chequered flag. Like Red Bull with some smoke on his car.

But in the end, Pérez reigns the afternoon session; Bottas score 122 laps with the Williams (that is a record of laps on pre-season testing this year).

The session concludes with a red flag caused by Kimi Räikkonen.
