Pedro Acosta has announced his collaboration with Monster Energy as a personal sponsor, just before his incorporation to Ducati for the 2027 MotoGP season.

This partnership was made public through a video on social media, which showcased images of the open sea and a new logo that combines a shark with the name ‘Acosta’, coinciding with the start of the Qatar Grand Prix weekend.

Until now, Acosta has competed with the colors of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and has maintained a relationship with Red Bull for six years. This collaboration, which included the last three years in the top category, comes to an end.

After being the runner-up of the Red Bull Rookies Cup in 2019 and winning the title in 2020, he made the jump to Moto3 in 2021, where he thrived in the championship. In 2022, continuing with the same team, he won the Moto2 title, with seven victories and 14 podiums.

Acosta debuted in the MotoGP category in 2024 with the satellite team Tech 3 of KTM, and last year he pointed with the factory team.

Throughout his career, Red Bull has not been a personal sponsor of Acosta, who has not worn its logo on his clothing, as he was subject to an agreement with KTM to display the sponsors of the Mattighofen manufacturer.

With the change to Ducati, Acosta has been able to formalize a personal sponsorship contract with Monster, a direct competitor of Red Bull. Monster is the sponsor of the Ducati team and has a contract that extends until the end of the 2027 season, at which point both the Italian team and the rider will have to consider a change.

Acosta will share a team with Marc Marquez at Ducati, who previously had to relinquish his personal sponsorship with Red Bull when he made the jump to the Italian team.

Now, there are rumors that Red Bull could enter the Bologna team within two years, although this information has not been confirmed.
