Nikita Bedrin, driver of Velocity Racing Development, has impressed in his debut at the GB3 championship with an exceptional performance at Silverstone. After dominating the two initial qualifying sessions, Bedrin secured the first position for both events, surpassing several previously well-regarded competitors.

The young driver, coming from Formula Regional Europe, achieved a pole time for the first race with just 0.035 seconds advantage and extended his superiority to 0.232 seconds in the second qualifying.

Among his strongest rivals were Hitech GP’s driver, Deagen Fairclough, as well as Rodin members Martin Molnar and Maxim Rehm. All of them began the new season with high expectations after promising preseason tests.

The first qualifying session saw Rehm setting the benchmark with a time of 1m50.853s. However, Fairclough improved this time, and Molnar took the lead with 1m50.289s, while Bedrin made his strategic play at the end, placing himself ahead with a time of 1m50.123.

In the second session, Rehm again set the best time, but Molnar reduced the record to 1m49.795s. Bedrin achieved a new record with 1m49.402s, thereby consolidating his pole position. Fairclough, with a competitive time, secured the second row of the grid, while Rehm and Molnar filled the podium in third and fourth, respectively.
