The motorsport community united to remember three-time F1 champion Ayrton Senna and also Roland Ratzenberger on their 25th death anniversary.
It is hard to forget the happenings of the weekend at Imola in 1994, when F1 went through one of its darkest phase, as it lost two drivers in a tragic on-track accident with Ratzenberger dying on April 30, with Senna on May 1 after crashing at the Italian circuit.
The two are remembered fondly every year, with the Brazilian more, considering the monumental achievements in his career and him being an important part of the F1 history. The year 2019 marks the 25th death anniversary of the two fallen F1 racers.
Messages flocked from all corners of the world for the F1 drivers in their remembrance on social media – which has indeed become a huge medium for fans, pundits, drivers and teams to come together in grief – and also in joy – on such occasions.
