MotoGP has shared a funny video of an unseen banter between the riders ahead of the start of their first Virtual Race last weekend.

Pushing out content for fans to enjoy in this otherwise disparaging time, MotoGP has published a hilarious video which shows the drivers joking around and talking in the moments before the Virtual Race dubbed as ‘Stay At Home GP’.

Already during the live event, the riders were joking as MotoGP did a good trick of having everyone connected in via video medium – something which was possible with just 10 riders competing. It added to the spectacle though which generated good numbers.

The MotoGP Virtual Race was broadcasted not only on social media but around the globe on the TV sets as well just like the normal event. The numbers were incredible as per the data released on all of the platforms it was showcased on.

The note added: “400 pieces of digital content were created around the event – including the full broadcast – for a total of 60 million impressions and more than 13 million video views, including 3 million views of the race itself.

“In addition, more than 2.5 million interactions were made with content related to the Virtual Race as fans flocked to weigh in! In total, that all adds up to 7 million minutes of Virtual Race content that were viewed – the equivalent of 13 years non -stop. “

The unseen video also has good numbers which had Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro, Honda’s Marc & Alex Marquez, Pramac’s Francesco Bagnaia, Suzuki’s Alex Rins & Joan Mir, Tech 3 KTM’s Miguel Oliveira & Iker Leucona, Petronas SRT’s Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales.

From weather, to the pace and liveries of their respective bikes, video and audio connections, video game lobby-joining, excessive dog barking, qualifying duration, and interior decoration in the home, there was almost four minutes of video shown – all of which showcased a new side of some of the riders.

Here’s the video where most interactions were in Spanish but with English title:
