Marco Bezzecchi took the MotoGP sprint win in Dutch GP from Francesco Bagnaia, with Fabio Quartararo in third.

It was a good start from pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi in the VR46 Ducati in the MotoGP sprint race in Dutch GP but Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia passed him in few corners with KTM’s Brad Binder climbed up places to be second from the second row.

Bezzecchi was third from Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo, with VR46’s Luca Marini down to fifth from Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro, Pramac Ducati’s Johann Zarco, RNF Aprilia’s Miguel Oliveira and Pramac’s Jorge Martin in the Top 9 points places.

But that didn’t remained the same when Zarco went after Espargaro. But both had moments along with Oliveira, which allowed Martin to sneak part in sixth from teammate Zarco, Espargaro and his teammate Maverick Vinales in the Top 9 points places.

Oliveira, meanwhile, had another moment to drop to the back of field, as Gresini Ducati’s Fabio di Giannantonio had a crash to retire. The fight up front picked up as Bezzecchi charged through Binder for second in his chase of Bagnaia.

The two VR46 academy members went wheel-to-wheel for few corners but Bezzecchi prevailed to lead the MotoGP sprint in Dutch GP. Binder lost some ground while being chased by Quartararo, as Martin passed Marini to be fifth behind him.

Espargaro passed both Zarco and Marini to be sixth, with Vinales in eighth and KTM’s Jack Miller in ninth where Zarco dropped to 11th behind Gresini’s Alex Marquez. This battle raged on where Espargaro cleared Martin for fifth as Vinales passed Marini for seventh.

Marquez was the gainer in the fight for the final point in ninth after a big scrap. Ducati’s Enea Bastianini was 10th just on the tail of the Spaniard, as Miller dropped to 11th and Zarco to 13th behind LCR Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami.

At the front, Bezzecchi prevailed to win the MotoGP sprint in Dutch GP despite the push from Bagnaia, while Binder fended off Quartararo to secure the final spot on the podium. But the South African was handed a Long Gap Penalty on the final lap for track limits.

With no time to complete it, Binder had time added to his time which helped Quartararo to get his first third place of the season. Espargaro was up to fourth with Binder in fifth after three seconds was added to his time. Martin was sixth with Vinales ending up seventh.

Marini was eighth from Bastianini who passed Marquez to score the final point in ninth. Miller was 11th from Nakagami and Zarco, with Honda’s Marc Marquez only 17th after not taking big risks.
