McLaren will run its Chrome livery in this weekend’s F1 British GP, as it also shares special livery for London Formula E race.

The McLaren Formula 1 Team and Official Primary Partner Google Chrome today revealed a special livery enhancement to run on both McLaren Formula 1 Team race cars at the 2025 British Grand Prix.  Unveiled in front of a live audience of fans at the team’s McLaren Racing Live: London event held at Trafalgar Square to bring the team in Papaya closer to its fans ahead of its home race, the livery is inspired by Legacy at Speed, connecting fans to the team at pace.

The livery celebrates McLaren’s history of speed on the track and Google Chrome’s speed on the web. With Chrome, fans can get instant access to the team’s racing story, culture and iconic moments, through a new take on the team’s iconic and fan-favourite chrome design from recent seasons. As well as the live reveal moment, the launch of the livery was supported across social and digital channels showcasing the team’s storied history through the lens of Google Chrome.

Louise McEwen, Chief Marketing Officer, McLaren Racing, said: “We know that, while we have millions of fans who have been with the McLaren Formula 1 Team for decades, there are millions more who are new to the sport and the team. Being able to celebrate and showcase our long history with the help of Chrome is a fantastic way of bringing these newer fans on the journey with us. To celebrate with so many of our fans in London this week as we get ready for our home race makes it even more special!”

Formula E –

The NEOM McLaren Formula E Team today unveiled a striking new livery for the season finale of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the London E-Prix, on 26 and 27 July. The livery was unveiled at McLaren Racing Live: London, a two-day fan experience in Trafalgar Square. Developed in collaboration between Oxagon, NEOM’s reimagined industrial city and the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team, the blue “away kit” creatively expresses the ambition of Oxagon.

The partnership between Oxagon and the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team highlights the power of strategic collaboration to drive meaningful change. By combining McLaren’s desire for pushing boundaries of innovation with Oxagon’s vision for advanced and clean industries, the two organisations are working to redefine how technology and design converge to shape the future of industry – within NEOM and beyond.

Developed between the two brands, the livery introduces dynamic new colors inspired by Oxagon, while retaining the signature papaya elements that define McLaren Racing’s visual identity. This distinctive design will also feature on the race suits and helmets of Sam Bird and Taylor Barnard.

Ian James, Team Principal, NEOM McLaren Formula E Team and Managing Director, NEOM McLaren Electric Racing, said: “This special edition livery offers a fresh take on our existing design — a purposeful “alternate” livery that shines a light on Oxagon, one of NEOM’s key regions. It represents more than bold visuals; it symbolises a partnership rooted in innovation, collaboration and real-world industrial transformation.”

Vishal Wanchoo, CEO of Oxagon, said:“Our work with the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team demonstrates how cross-industry partnerships can accelerate sustainable transformation. By combining McLaren’s performance and efficiency with Oxagon’s vision for clean, connected manufacturing, we’re advancing the kind of innovation that is shaping the future of industry.”

Established in 2022, the partnership between NEOM and McLaren Electric Racing extends beyond motorsport sponsorship to reflect a shared drive for high performance, innovation and the development of future talent. Revealed in London and inspired by Oxagon, the livery captures the spirit of the partnership and its role in advancing progress through design, technology and shared values.
