McLaren Racing announced Daisuke Hasegawa as its new Consultant Senior Vice President as Buzz & Co’s joins the F1 team.
Ahead of the start of the 2020 F1 season, McLaren has announced a new multi-year partnership with Japan’s Buzz & Co – the company which entered into a deal with AlphaTauri (formerly Toro Rosso) at the start of 2019.
It looks like the deal with AlphaTauri ended as it has now associated itself with McLaren. The company is headed by Hasegawa and is involved heavily in motor racing activities across the globe. In F3, it partners with British outfit Carlin.
Not only Buzz & Co has joined McLaren in F1, Haegawa has been named as the Consultant Senior Vice President as the Woking-based outfit hopes to expand into the Japanese market using the services of the investment company.
The company’s logo will feature on the inner-side of the McLaren MCL35. “This innovative new partnership with Buzz & Co will allow us to deepen our connections to businesses and fans alike in our key market of Japan,” said Zak Brown.
“I am pleased to welcome Daisuke-san into our extended team and look forward to taking to track together this season.” Additionally, Hasegawa added: “McLaren was my favourite team when I first attended a Grand Prix at Suzuka in 1987. They have had a glorious past and I believe our partnership has an exciting future.”
