Sacha Fenestraz has won a lights to flag race at Monte Carlo for Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. Under wet conditions, the crashes were an important part of the race, which has to end before of the scheduled. Habsburg and Defourny completes the podium.
One of the most important races of the season, the Monte Carlo race, under rain conditions. A race that started with a slightly delay due to a several crashes in the prior race.
Sacha Fenestraz (Tech 1 Racing) started from pole position and despite the pressure from his opponents, he led the whole race to take his first points in the championship and his maiden win in the series.
Ferdinand Habsburg (Fortec Motorsports) who started third managed to overtake Max Defourny (R-ace GP) to take the second step of the podium. Defourny finished third despite been overtook by Dorian Boccolacci (Tech 1 Racing). The Belgian take his place back after a red flag caused by an accident between Gabriel Aubry (Tech 1 Racing) and Harrison Scott (AVF).
The race had many crashes. First one was between Bruno Baptista (Fortec Motorsports) and Jehan Daruvala (Josef Kaufmann Racing). David Porcelli (MGR Motorsport) also crashed at Saint Devote.
Nikita Mazepin (AVF) finished fifth, in front of Harrison Scott (AVF), Henrique Chaves (AVF), Julein Falchero (R-ace GP), Gabriel Aubry (Tech 1 Racing) and Will Palmer (R-ace GP) completes the top 10.
Max Deforuny now takes the lead of the championship with 83 points, Norris is second with 55 points, as Harrison Scott is third with 50 points. Boccolacci is fourth with 43 points.
