Charles Leclerc’s race engineer Xavi Marcos has moved away from his F1 role as Bryan Bozzi will take over as per Ferrari.

In an surprising news from Ferrari, they announced an organisational change on Leclerc side of the garage with the end of F1 Miami GP. The Monegasque will no longer have Marcos as his race engineer, with the Italian moving to other company programme.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that, as of Monday 13 May, Xavi Marcos will bring his valuable experience gained as a race engineer with the Formula 1 team to the development of other important company programmes,” said the team in a short statement.

Marcos will be replaced by longtime performance engineer of Leclerc from Emilia Romagna GP. Bozzi has been with Ferrari for a decade now and will assume a larger role becoming actively part of the Monegasque’s race programme all-through.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Bryan Bozzi, who has worked in the team for ten years, currently as Performance Engineer to Charles Leclerc, will now take on the role of his Race Engineer as from next weekend’s Gran Premio del Made in Italy and dell’Emilia-Romagna at Imola,” wrote Ferrari.

It is unclear what role Marcos will take over with the team only mentioning about him moving to ‘other company programme’. The dynamics with Leclerc has been there for long standing, with the Monegasque now having to adjust with a new race engineer from Imola.
