Matin Kodric has been the faster of first practice session of Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 at la Sarthe, Le Mans, France. Jack Aitken and local driver, Anthoine Hubert, finished on top 3.
The World Series by Renault is back to circuit de la Sarthe and as always the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 started to open the weekend with the first practice sessions in wet track, as it gets dry during the session.
Ukyo Sasahara (ART Junior Team) started on top position with 1:38.860 in a session that anyone had a clear lead. Then it was Jack Aitken (Koiranen GP) who improved his lap time to 1:37.601.
His time remained on top of the standings a lot of time due to a red flag caused by Bruno Baptista (Manor MP Motorsport) at “relantisseu du chemin aux boeuf”.
The green flag came back to the track with 10 minutes remaining. Martin Kodric (Fortec Motorsports), Jack Aitken, Anthoine Hubert (Tech 1 Racing) and Kevin Jörg (Josef Kaufmann Racing) altered the first position as Kodric took the fastest time of the session with the checker flag on track.
