Marvin Kirchhofer has won the Sunday race thanks to a great pace and overtaking of poleman Fuoco. Eriksson and Mardenborough come 2nd and 3d.
The GP3 race had a clean start today except for a couple of drivers like Eriksson who went into the run off area in the first turn where the track turns into a funnel. Fuoco went a little too wide in the turn and Kirchhofer didn’t spare anytime to take advantage of it and become the new leader.
All cars then went in line and everything calmed down, except for Eriksson who overtook Fuoco who was losing pace on Kirchhofer but still managed to stick to Eriksson.
Palou went really hard in the chicane and ended up flying because of the patches laid down in the runoff area. Behind Mardenborough was getting closer to Ocon and he was finally able to overtake him at the end of the straight line. Tunjo did exactly the same to Fontana.
All drivers then started to notice that the tyres were wearing off and the track saw more and more fights which helped Mardenborough take the 3d place as Fuoco and Bernstoff were fencing off.
Kirchhofer, who had gained a big gap during the first laps, was not affected by those fights. He then went on to take the win, followed by Eriksson and then Mardenborough.
