The British driver has been the fastest in the first practice session of the DTM season finale at Hockenheim. Second best time was for Gary Paffett and third for Tom Blomqvist.
This morning we We knew that Dani Juncadella was not going to race due to an illness. Esteban Ocon, Mercedes reserve driver and current title contender in GP3 will replace him.
The whole session was dominated by Gary Paffett (Mercedes) but in the last minutes, Jamie Green, with two fantastic laps, beat him by 4 tenths of a second. Third best lap time was for Tom Blomqvist, who is doing a really good final of the season in his very first year in the DTM, with 1 win and 3 podiums.
Fourth place for Edoardo Mortara who is on second place in the championship standings, ahead of his team mate Mattias Ekström. Championship points’ leader, Pascal Wehrlein finished on 19th position.
FP2 will be tomorrow at 9:00 local time.
