Lewis Hamilton has been faster than Nico Rosberg in the second free practice session. However, the English driver stopped a few minutes before the end of the session. Fernando Alonso was third, as in the first session, while his teammate Kimi Raikkonen was ninth, worse than the first free practice. The Red Bull have finished in fourth (Ricciardo) and fifth (Vettel).
The second practice session was marked by incidents of Marcus Ericsson and Valtteri Bottas. In addition, Jean-Éric Vergne had a problem with one of the wheels of his car.
