Hailie Deegan achieved a historic victory at the ARCA West final at Kern Raceway, near the home of driver Kevin Harvick. The race, which was affected by rain, could only complete 42 laps out of the scheduled 150, but it was enough for Deegan to celebrate her second win of this season.

Deegan shared the front row with Mia Lovell, who secured the pole. The first and second place finish of these two drivers represents a unique moment in ARCA history, as it is the first time two women occupy the top two positions in a race.

The 25-year-old driver expressed her satisfaction after the race. ‘It was amazing to race here. I was frustrated with qualifying since I was only 0.007s from the pole, but we quickly took the lead and didn’t let it slip away,’ Deegan commented.

With this victory, Deegan adds up to a total of five wins in ARCA West, matching prominent NASCAR names like Jesse Love and Noah Gragson.

Huddleston, champion again

Hudson Sharp finished third in the race, followed by Taylor Mayhew and Trevor Huddleston. The latter secured the 2026 ARCA West championship title, being one of two drivers who won multiple races this season.

Huddleston, who also won the championship in 2025, commented on his experience. ‘It was a very special Victory Lane, especially with the rain falling. We weren’t sure we could race today, but we managed to get some laps in and brought the car in shape for the celebration in Charlotte,’ Huddleston said.
