Haas F1 Team are latest to note about furlough within their outfit for certain employees while senior members/drivers have taken a pay cut.

After the confirmation from McLaren, Racing Point, F1, Williams and Renault regarding furlough and pay cuts amid COVID-19 pandemic, Haas is the latest to join the party as they confirmed to FormulaRapida.net about their UK-based employees being furloughed.

Haas uses the Manor F1 team’s base at Banbury, while they have its headquarter in the Unites States of America, where they are originally based at. With the UK Government helping out companies with staff’s salary, it is a safe option to take.

The furlough of employees started from April 1 at Haas while they are under shutdown as per the FIA rules. Additionally, the key members of the team has taken a pay cut along with both Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean, as like other outfits.

Haas has not mentioned the amount of employees, as well as the cut percentage of the key management and F1 drivers. They are are fifth team to take up the option as what Zak Brown already predicted when the Woking-based team took the decision.

This leaves Mercedes and Red Bull Racing as the UK-based outfits to confirm their stance, while the likes of Ferrari, Alfa Romeo Racing and AlphaTauri will be taking the required steps as per the Government’s packages in their respective host countries.
