Maximilian Günther and Lando Norris have been the best in the two practice sessions of the FIA ??Formula 3 European championship at the Dutch circuit of Zandvoort.
The second part of the season in FIA ??Formula 3 European starts in Zandvoort, a circuit where overtaking is complicated and where weather conditions could be key over the weekend.
In the first practice session under the wind and cold and even with a few drops of rain, Lando Norris (Carlin) has been the fastest despite being the first time he visits this track. McLaren junior with a lap-time of 1:28.534, has been two tenths faster than the leader of the championship, Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam) who this weekend releases new colors in his car.
Joel Eriksson (Motopark), a specialist in this track where he took the Masters of Zandvoort one year ago was third, Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) and Nikita Mazepin (Hitech GP) complete the top five.
In the second session Günther was the fastest with a lap of 1:28.252, followed by Norris and Mazepin. Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam) finished fourth, ahead of Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin).
