The German Formula 4, which will return after a four-year hiatus, is ready for its first season in 2027 with a total of 14 confirmed teams. This competition will be part of the support program for the DTM championship, with five races distributed throughout the year.
Among the participating teams stands out Comtoyou Racing, which has recently achieved Aston Martin’s first victories in DTM history. This Belgian team, which will enter Formula 4 without prior experience in formula competitions, plans to enter two units to compete in this new series.
The demand for registrations has been remarkable, with over 70 applications submitted. The organizers, which include the sporting director Kris Nissen, have carefully selected 14 teams to participate.
Furthermore, the competition will feature the participation of the LN4 Fusion team, co-founded by Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris, and FS Motorsports, founded by BMW driver Augusto Farfus and motorsport promoter Mauricio Slaviero.
Another notable team is Vanwall F4 Racing, led by former Formula 1 director Colin Kolles, which plans to enter up to four cars, the maximum allowed.
