The stewards of Formula Regional European Championship have fined and removed a MP Motorsport team member on Whatsapp for his behaviour.

Following the Saturday’s race at Spa-Francorchamps, where an incident between MP Motorsport’s Sami Meguetounif and Van Amersfoort Racing’s Joshua Dufek was deemed as racing incident, the document of the same was shared in FRECA Whatsapp group.

This prompted a ‘poop’ emoji in response to the stewards’ decision from the MP Motorsport team member which he quickly deleted. He replaced it with a ‘clown’ emoji which he removed it as well. But this didn’t go down well with the FRECA stewards.

They immediately imposed a fine of 2000 euros on MP Motorsport and removed the team member from the official Whatsapp group for his behaviour. With the use of such platforms these days, it has its share of bizarre antics either by mistake or done purposely.
