The MotoGP team Trackhouse has officially announced the arrival of Francesco Guidotti as the new team manager, a decision that takes effect immediately, ahead of the Czech Grand Prix in Brno taking place this weekend.
This appointment, considered one of the worst-kept secrets in the paddock, is part of the restructuring process being carried out by Justin Marks’ organization, following the announcement of Davide Brivio’s departure at the end of the season.
Brivio will join Honda in 2027, but will maintain his current responsibilities until the expiration of his contract. Guidotti is expected to focus on the medium- and long-term vision for the American team while Brivio supervises the daily operations until the end of the year.
Guidotti, who was previously with Pramac and then KTM, has been seeking new opportunities since his departure from the Austrian brand in mid-2024. His joining Trackhouse represents an exciting opportunity for him.
In Guidotti’s words: “I want to thank Justin for his trust. I’m excited to return and couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity than this. Trackhouse is a young and professional team that has already achieved special milestones, and I will do everything possible to contribute to the growth of the team and the riders.”
Marks also expressed his enthusiasm for this appointment, highlighting that Guidotti’s career in the world of motorcycles is impressive and that his leadership is a significant asset for the team in facing new challenges in the MotoGP championship.
One of the main topics to resolve for Guidotti will be the selection of the team’s riders for 2027. It will involve the uncertainty surrounding Enea Bastianini, although his situation depends on the agreement between KTM and Trackhouse. Additionally, Raul Fernandez, after his standout performances, is a strong candidate to stay, although he will not be the only one competing for a spot on the team.
