The FIA shares details of track limits in F1 Saudi Arabian GP along with the DRS zones, circuit changes, stewards names and more.
As known, the track limits for F1 Saudi Arabian GP will be the white lines denoting the track edges. But after troubles last year, the FIA has painted the pit entry and pit exit with blue colour line. In fact, they have changed several of the lines using blue colour for better detection.
Here’s the changes:
- The pit entry and pit exit white lines are highlighted blue.
- The safety car lines are highlighted blue.
- Blue line behind the white line at the apex of turns 2, 5, 8, 9, 14, 17.
- Blue line behind the white line at the exit of turns 8, 19, 23.
In terms of the DRS zones, the first zone’s detection point is on exit of Turn 17, with the activation on the exit of Turn 19. The second zone’s detection is on entry to Turn 22 and activation is on entry to Turn 25, while the third zone’s detection is on exit of Turn 27 and activation is 170m after Turn 27.
As for the stewards panel, it will be led by Nish Shetty, who will have the support of Loic Bacquelaine, Enrique Bernoldi and Hasan Alabdali. As one heads into the Saudi Arabian GP, former FIA deputy president Robert Reid expanded on his decision to leave his role.
