The FIA has shared details for F1 Japanese GP with regards to changes made to the circuit, DRS zone, stewards names and more.
The track limits as described by FIA Race Director Niels Wittich remains the white lines across the circuit for F1 Japanese GP at Suzuka, with no additional information regarding run-offs and the subsequent re-joining in a safe manner.
Considering the layout, the sole DRS zone’s detection zone is 50m before Turn 16 while activation is 100m before the control line. There are few circuit changes as per the FIA note which includes resurfacing at couple of corners, they are:
- New drainage in Turn 1 on LHS.
- Resurfacing from entry Turn 3 until exit Turn 4.
- New drainage in Turn 7 on RHS.
- Resurfacing from entry Turn 7 until exit Turn 7.
In terms of the four FIA stewards, the pannel will be led by Dr Gerd Ennser who will be supported by Matteo Perini, Danny Sullivan and Kzuhiro Tsuge. Like how it was in Singapore, there is no filming of the ongoing movie at Suzuka as well.
Also there is no change in any of the driver line-up for this weekend where Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll is cleared to compete after missing the Singapore GP due to qualifying crash. Daniel Ricciardo is still sidelined with Liam Lawson getting another AlphaTauri run.
