F1 has released details of its own auction where they are offering factory/paddock tours along with signed merchandise in aide of Australian bushfire.

In reaction to the forest fires ravaging the Australian continent, F1 has announced a non-profit auction in which all proceeds will go to four organisations namely Red Cross Australia, Country Fire Authority Victoria, Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, and the WWF Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund.

F1 joins the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Esteban Ocon, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, in raising awareness and also financial help by virtue of an auction. The sport is offering unique experiences and signed merchandise in their auction.

The experiences includes a meet-and-greet with team official and drivers from Mercedes and Williams, drivers from Red Bull Racing, McLaren and Racing Point and team official from Ferrari during the upcoming 2020 Australian GP. A factory tour of McLaren and Renault is also listed, where the latter will give a chance to train in their Academy too.

Staying with the Albert Park race, Pirelli will provide paddock-club experience where they will also get a Hot Lap in the safety car and a tour of the Race Control room. Another money-can’t-experience is dinner with F1 Managing Director, Ross Brawn.

From the material side, F1 has Ricciardo’s racing boots and gloves from 2019, racing helmet from Kevin Magnussen – which will use in 2020 Australian GP – and race suits from Albon, Verstappen, Romain Grosjean, and Daniil Kvyat, as worn in 2019.

The auction starts from January 22 (today) and runs until February 9 for experience items and February 16 for merchandise on https://www.f1authentics.com. F1 fans can donate on their own as well, with the non-profit organisations named above.

With the auction in place and photos of the on-going preparation work at Albert Park, it more or less confirms that the 2020 Australian GP is on schedule to happen. The promoters will still be keeping a close eye on the latest happenings in the continent.
