Cadillac has unveiled an exclusive version of the Escalade-V, dedicated to Formula 1 driver Sergio Pérez, ahead of his home race, the Mexico City Grand Prix. This special edition, called Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition, is priced at 4,099,000 Mexican pesos, equivalent to about 222,500 dollars, which represents a significantly higher amount than the standard version.
Only 11 units have been manufactured, a tribute to the driver’s racing number. Among the additional features, the vehicle presents exclusive aesthetic details such as the black inscriptions on the Cadillac emblems, as well as a monochrome logo that reflects the colors of his competition car, the MAC-26.
The design enhancements include illuminated garnishes on the grille and the door handles, as well as a carbon fiber engine cover. Additionally, the 24-inch wheels in Satin Graphite color complement the vehicle’s appearance.
Regarding the interior, the Checo Pérez edition is enhanced with sport pedals and a finish in the same monochrome style. Two numbered plaques located on the B-pillar and center console identify the specimen among the 11 available units, and Pérez’s signature is added as a reminder of his contribution to this vehicle.
In terms of performance, the special edition maintains the characteristics of the base model. Thus, the V8 engine of 6.2 liters provides a power of 682 horsepower and a torque of 653 lb-ft, with a 10-speed transmission that allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
The presentation of this vehicle coincides with Pérez’s 300th Grand Prix, a significant moment in his career. Despite his ongoing participation in the competition, the driver has hinted that his time in Formula 1 may be coming to an end, playing an important role in his family and professional plans.
