Aston Martin F1 reserve Felipe Drugovich has signed up with Vector Sport to compete full-time in 2024 ELMS championship in LMP2 class.

Brazilian driver, Drugovich has been the test and Reserve Driver for Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team since winning the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship. He will continue in the role alongside his test and racing commitments with Vector Sport.

The 23-year-old has also tested for Maserati MSG Racing in the Formula E rookie test as well as winning programs in F3, F4 & MRF Series. This will be the UK-based team’s first season in the European Le Mans Series after moving from the World Endurance Championship grid and Vector Sport have also been granted an invitation to Le Mans 24 hours.

Felipe Drugovich commented: “I am really happy and motivated to have signed with Vector Sport to drive for them on the European Le Mans Series 2024. I know the teams history and quality and am very excited to get on track with them. I have met the Team and was impressed with what I saw.

“I am sure that together with them, my fellow drivers Ryan Cullen and Stephane Richelmi, we can write a successful chapter with the #10 Oreca. It’s good to know that I will be back in action in real races, bringing together my experience in racing and my fondness for Endurance Racing. My job as substitute and reserve driver with Aston Martin F1 continues with its full schedule, I will be just be keeping busy on my weekends which up until now have been free!”
