Legacy Motor Club (LMC) has recently undergone a leadership restructuring. Chais Elaison has been appointed as the new crew chief for the number 42 car, which is driven by John Hunter Nemechek.
Elaison, who has a background as a strategy manager and performance engineer for LMC over the past year, will assume the position immediately. His experience includes working with teams like Hendrick Motorsports and Trackhouse Racing, where he was part of teams that won championships in 2016 and 2021.
Regarding his promotion, Elaison expressed his gratitude to LMC for this opportunity. He stated his intention to apply the knowledge gained during the current season to finish the year with good results and prepare the team for 2027, when driver Josh Berry will take over the number 42 car.
Following this restructuring, Elaison replaces Travis Mack, who has left the organization.
