Carson Kvapil has achieved his first victory in the NASCAR O’Reilly Series after 64 races, although he now has two consecutive wins thanks to his triumph at Iowa Speedway.
His JR Motorsports teammate, Ross Chastain, led most of the final phase, but a yellow flag with five laps to go completely altered the dynamics of the race. Chastain had a poor restart on the first attempt, allowing Kvapil to move ahead.

Once the complications were resolved, a crash by Jeb Burton brought the race to overtime. Chastain and Allgaier attempted a risky pass, but Kvapil took advantage of the situation to move to the front. In the resultant collision, several vehicles were put out of competition.
