Carlin and Campos Racing are next two teams to reveal their line-up for the 2024 F2 season where the former has one new driver, while the latter has all-new.

Carlin –

Rodin Carlin is pleased to confirm their FIA Formula Two line up for the 2024 season will feature Zane Maloney and Ritomo Miyata. Maloney remains with the team following a strong rookie season in the championship which saw him take four podiums over the course of the year.  Racing alongside him will be reigning Super Formula and Super GT Champion Miyata who joins the team after a standout year competing in Japan.

A solid Formula Two debut for Maloney has seen the young Barbados driver prove fantastic pace on track. Four podiums over the course of his debut season was added to with a trip to the historic Macau Grand Prix earlier this month. Maloney, a previous F4 Champion, will be looking to consolidate all the fantastic experience he picked up this season and convert it towards victories and a championship fight in 2024.

Maloney said, “I’m really pleased to be remaining with the team for the 2024 season. I feel as though I’ve learned so much this year on track and I really believe we’re in a good place to hit the ground running next year. I’ve been with the team for three out of my five years in single seaters so it’s like a family here; I’m looking forward to continuing that relationship and going for the championship together in 2024.”

Japanese racer Miyata makes the move to the Formula Two championship after an enthralling season in Super Formula. Taking championship spoils at the final round of the season, Miyata clinched two victories and six podiums over the course of what turned out to be an incredibly hard-fought season. The Toyota young driver has been a force to be reckoned with this season; also competing in the Super GT Series, the 24-year-old secured championship victory here as well – further cementing his skills.

Miyata said, “I’m excited to join Rodin Carlin and participate in FIA F2 for the 2024 season. Rodin Carlin has lots of experience and have achieved great things in the series. For me, it is my first time driving a Formula 2 car and the tracks on the calendar, so I have a lot to learn but I’m really looking forward to working with the team.

“I would like to thank Morizo-san, TGR staff, all the partners and Rodin Carlin who created this opportunity and supported me to race in FIA F2 this season. I will do my best to meet everyone’s expectations.”

Rodin Carlin once again enjoyed a successful season on track which placed the team third overall at the conclusion of the year. Maloney and Miyata will be out this week for official post season testing which takes place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi from Wednesday.

Campos –

Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Isack Hadjar and Pepe Martí will join the Valencia-based racing outfit to contest the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship season. Hadjar and Martí promised to be one of the youngest driver pairings in the field of the FIA Formula 2 but an amazing mix of talent and speed at the same time. Besides, both Hadjar and Martí will carry the famous colors of Red Bull throughout the season.

19-year-old Hadjar will enter his second full-campaign in the ultra-competitive feeder series after a promising rookie season. The Frenchman immediately left his mark scoring his maiden podium finish in Formula 2. Hadjar is an emerging talent enjoying plenty of success in lower single-seater racing series, including a fourth-place in the drivers’ standings of the 2022 FIA Formula 3 season.

Spaniard Martí, who is 18 years old, will step up to FIA F2 next year after finishing 5th overall in the FIA Formula 3 with three wins to his name. Martí, who made his debut in single-seater racing taking part in F4 with Campos Racing back in 2021, will achieve another milestone in his career after recently finishing 5th in the iconic Macau F3 Grand Prix.

Hadjar and Martí will start working together later this week during FIA Formula 2 post season testing at Yas Marina Circuit. The three-day collective testing will kick off on Wednesday and it will come to an end on Friday.

Adrián Campos (Campos Racing Team Principal): “We are proud to have a driver line-up consisting of two Red Bull junior drivers for the 2024 FIA Formula 2 season. Isack and Pepe are two very young pilots but their skills and talent allow them to make rapid progress in every category. It will be a huge pleasure to work together and we will give our maximum to achieve the best possible results. I have no doubts that 2024 promises to be an exciting season for Campos Racing. The next season has already begun for us. Let’s rock!”

Isack Hadjar (Campos Racing Driver of Formula 2): “I’m really looking forward to start working with the team! I now have experience in the FIA F2 Championship and with Campos Racing’s potential and capabilities, we will reach the top!”

Pepe Martí (Campos Racing Driver of Formula 2):“It’s a dream come true to jump into a Formula 2, it’s another step in my journey and learning to reach Formula 1 in the future. As well with Campos Racing, the team which I’ve been with through all my single seater career, it’s a very special opportunity to test here at Abu Dhabi and I’m looking forward to learning quickly and enjoying every lap!
