Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac’s Formula 1 driver, has pointed out the notable progress of the team in their first season, despite the challenges that have been present in several races.

Since their entry into Formula 1 in 2026, Cadillac has faced multiple challenges, including reliability issues and several withdrawals. Nevertheless, Bottas has expressed an optimistic view about the development of the vehicle and the team as a whole.

“It was foreseeable that we would face difficulties,” Bottas commented. “We have had some races where we could not finish due to technical problems. We knew that this was a possibility, and it is part of the learning process.

“The important thing is to learn from it and move forward. There have been no surprises, and we have been able to see improvements in the performance and reliability of the car as the season has progressed,” he added.

The Finnish driver also commented on teamwork, highlighting how the team has improved its operations over time. “I am getting to know my teammates better, including Checo. The collaboration has been excellent from the beginning, and we are improving daily,” he said.

In addition, Cadillac recently announced the change of team principal, with Marcin Budkowski, former executive director of Alpine, taking over the role following Graeme Lowdon’s departure.
