Despite the obstacles, Marco Bezzecchi does not give up in his pursuit of the MotoGP title. After a series of disappointing results, the Italian from Aprilia Racing has lost ground to Marc Marquez, who has overcome a 102-point deficit in just four months.

In the recent Malaysian Grand Prix, Bezzecchi watched as Marquez achieved his seventh victory of the season. Currently, Bezzecchi is 67 points behind the nine-time champion, while his teammate Jorge Martin, who is struggling with injuries, is 44 points behind him before the next race in Qatar.

Marquez has the opportunity to seal the title if he surpasses Bezzecchi by eight points and Martin by thirty in the upcoming race at the Losail International Circuit.

Despite the likely difficulties, Bezzecchi maintains his determination: “It’s very difficult, but I will continue to believe it and work hard until the math says otherwise,” he stated. His season started strong, with three consecutive victories, but accidents and injuries have marked his trajectory.

Additionally, Bezzecchi has acknowledged that his shoulder and knee injuries continue to affect his performance. Since the summer break, he has only secured one victory, but has managed to step onto the podium regularly, finishing third in Malaysia in the sprint race, but sixth in the full race.

“I have been working to regain the explosive speed I had at the beginning of the season,” he commented. “Every time I’ve fallen and got injured, it’s normal that there is a recovery process,” he added, highlighting his determination to regain his previous form.
