Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS has confirmed for the next year an international calendar of seven rounds, on some of the most important European circuits.
In 2016 the Fast Lane Promotion series open to 2-litre cars will introduce new synergies to create a more interesting contest for teams and drivers.
Although it is still to be considered provisional, the new calendar will include three rounds in Italy and the others in Austria, France, Belgium and Spain. Besides the combination in a couple of times with the Gruppo Peroni Race events, the novelty will be the Monza and Barcellona rounds, scheduled in the same weekend of the Euroformula Open and International GT Open, the championships promoted by the Jesús Pareja’s organization.
As usually, the season will kick-off at Imola, on 9-10 April, followed by Red Bull Ring in a date still to be defined. On 21-22 May, the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS will head to the Pau street circuit for the fifth time on six editions, only seven days before the Eurocup F.Renault 2.0 round at Montecarlo and it could be usefull as a “big test” looking towards the race scheduled in the same weekend of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
On 11-12 June the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS will land in Spa, then at Mugello (the date will be defined soon), Monza and Barcellona, the first and last weekend of October.
