Aston Martin confirms Cardile has started work at AMR campus

Aston Martin, F1, Enrico Cardile, Ferrari

The long standing case between Ferrari and Aston Martin is close now after a settlement reached to allow Enrico Cardile start work with the Anglo-British F1 team.

After Cardile was promoted to the technical director role at Ferrari, he decided to mow from the Italian F1 outfit after few years in the role. It was widely reported that he would join Aston Martin, which was officially confirmed in July of 2024 by the team as their new Chief Technical Officer.

The legal case kick-started after Ferrari denied early start to Cardile. He was asked to complete the full gardening leave term. The Italian outfit, in fact, won the legal case back in March. It was noted that he could start work from July 18 of 2025, which he has now.

It is unclear if Cardile was allowed few weeks of early start or he started on the said date by the court. But Aston Martin has confirmed to various media including Planet Network, Motorsport Network, The Race, etc, that he has started work alongside design guru Adrian Newey on the big 2026 F1 project.

“We are pleased that a resolution has been found and that Enrico can move forward with the team as we look to 2026 and beyond as our Chief Technical Officer, leading our design and technical functions at the AMR Technology Campus,” said the small statement.
