Luca Ghiotto won the second GP3 race of the weekend at the Bahrain International Circuit ahead of the championship leader, Esteban Ocon. Parry completed the podium on 3rd.
The race started well for Celis Jr., who managed to keep pole position on the start, while Eriksson and Mardenborough lost several positions. However, Luca Ghiotto got the lead of the race on lap 2, while his rival for the title, Esteban Ocon, went up to 4th position.
The race had to be stopped very soon with a red flag following an accident between Stuvik and Tuscher. Once the barriers were repaired, the race was restarted behind the Safety Car and Ocon managed to overtake his teammate Marvin Kirchhöfer and Celis Jr. for 2nd place. Parry climbed to 3rd after some great overtakes on Kirchhöfer, Bernstorff and Celis Jr.
Finally, Ghiotto won in Bahrain ahead of his rival Ocon. Parry completed the podium followed by Bernstorff, Fuoco, Kirchhöfer, Eriksson and Celis Jr. Only 2 points separate now Ghiotto and Ocon before the last round of the championship next week in Abu Dhabi.
