The organisers of Australian GP have confirmed the F1 grand prix date for 2023 season, which has to be officially stamped by FIA WMSC.
While the confirmation from the FIA is yet to come through the World Motor Sport Council, the organisers of Australian GP have confirmed the dates for the 2023 event at Albert Park which will take place during the weekend of March 30 – April 2.
It is not to be the 2023 season-opener which Bahrain is likely to host once again along with a pre-season F1 test. Tickets haven’t gone on sale for 2023 Australian GP, but it will be available soon and fans can register themselves to be in a chance to get them.
The 2023 event will also see both F2 and F3 events run for the first time at Albert Park circuit, which is a significant boost for the organisers of Australian GP, making it a packed schedule with Supercars also usually part of the weekend programme.
The oragnisers of Australian GP announced a long-term deal with F1 in June which will see the Albert Park circuit remain as host of the grand prix for until the 2035 season, as F2 and F3 is likely to be a regular feature too in the immediate future.
Albert Park as a venue has always proved popular with drivers and fans alike, with the advent of the two single seater support events plus the Australian drivers presence too, this augurs well for Australian motorsport and the F2 and F3 championships as a whole.
