The Australian driver who is contesting his last race in F1 in Japan, has managed to add another pole to his own history after being one of the few drivers who had never been starting a race in front of his teammate in all season.
Behind the Aussie, Sebastian Vettel finished very close of the pole and Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes was the only one able to get close to the rhythm of the Red Bull (only a tenth).
Behind the top three finished a brand new Romain Grosjean, Felipe Massa with his Ferrari returns to classify ahead of his Spanish teammate, Nico Rosberg, the German driver Nico Hulkenberg who has been doing a great job lately for a big team to sign him, and Fernando Alonso, who has already told the media that this weekend was not good and that the team should not be blamed for starting in that position, it has been exclusively his fault. Behind him, Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button close the top ten.
