Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc remained quickest in F1 Belgian GP FP3 from Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas.
Ferrari remained on top in FP3 of F1 Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps with Leclerc (1m44.206s) finishing the quickest from Vettel (1m44.657s) and Mercedes’ Bottas (1m44.703s), as Hamilton crashed out.
The British racer had a slight twitch after running on the kerb and went straight into the tyre barrier as the front-end was damaged. He was classified seventh still with a 1m45.566s.
Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo (1m44.974s) was best of the rest in fourth with Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen (1m45.312s) fifth and Racing Point’s Sergio Perez (1m45.521s) sixth ahead of Hamilton.
The two Alfa Romeo Racing drivers of Kimi Raikkonen (1m45.659s) and Antonio Giovinazzi (1m45.688s) were eighth and ninth with Toro Rosso’s Pierre Gasly (1m45.752s) rounding the Top 10.
Haas’ Romain Grosjean (1m45.806s) was 11th with Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg (1m45.855s) in 12th from the other Haas of Kevin Magnussen (1m46.004s) with the two McLaren drivers following them.
It was Carlos Sainz (1m46.017s) in 14th ahead of Lando Norris (1m46.270s) as all the Renault-powered cars switched to Spec B power unit in a strategic move. Racing Point’s Lance Stroll (1m46.379s) lined up 16th.
Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat (1m46.642s) did not chase for lap times with Red Bull’s Alexander Albon (1m50.681s) in the same mode in 20th, with Williams’ George Russell (1m47.858s) 18th and Robert Kubica (1m48.350s) 19th.
