Max Fewtrell continues to show his great talent, the Briton has achieved his first victory in Formula Renault after beating the title candidates, Fenestraz and Defourny who complete the podium of the first race in the Red Bull Ring.
Starting from the second position, the rookie Max Fewtrell (Tech 1 Racing) obtained the first position in the first curve. The Briton was leading ahead of Max Defourny (R-ace GP) and Sacha Fenestraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing).
Then the fight for the fourth position would be the most interesting element. Dan Ticktum (Arden Motorsport) beat Will Palmer (R-ace GP) and began a fight for this position among six drivers, with Thomas Randle (AVF) also beating Palmer.
Meanwhile in the lead, Fewtrell watched how Defourny and Fenestraz closed the gap with him, but he defended well the lead, not like Defourny who got overtaken by Fenestraz on last lap.
In drivers’ championship it is not a R-ace GP car that leads this standings. Now it’s Sacha Fenestraz who stands with 210 points, 6 more than Shwartzman. At 22 points less in third position is Palmer, while Defourny fourth, is 74 points behind the leader.
