Carson Brown, an 18-year-old promising young driver from Richard Childress Racing’s development program, will make his NASCAR O’Reilly Series debut this Saturday in the number 32 car of Jordan Anderson Racing at Iowa Speedway.
The vehicle will carry the colors of Distributor Wire & Cable, one of RCR’s partners.
Currently, Brown is the championship leader of the ASA STARS National Super Late Model Tour, with four wins and two second-place finishes in six races this season with Anthony Campi Racing. He has also won races in ARCA and Trans-Am and has competed for victory in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour with Lee Pulliam Performance.
Additionally, he recently did acclimatization laps with the NOAPS car at North Wilkesboro in preparation for this moment.
Brown commented to Motorsport.com last week: ‘It was definitely very different. I felt that the brake pressure is very different, just the torque it carries. That was also my first time on the new surface of North Wilkesboro and it was very exciting to drive that car on that track. I raced on the old surface, an experience that not everyone can have.’
The driver will also compete in the ARCA event on Friday, as preparation for his debut.
