Sébastien Buemi gets his second pole position of Formula E 15-16 season, after finish in front of Stéphane Sarrazin and Loïc Duval in Putrajaya ePrix qualifying.
In Putrajaya like last year the race starts two hours before the usual, so the practice sessions has to reduce to one with Loïc Duval who set the fastest time in front of Sébastien Buemi and Sam Bird.
Duval (Dragon Racing) finished the Group 1 session on front taking the provisional pole position with a 1:20.2minutes lap time. Nicolas Prost (Renault e.Dams) finished second, in front of Mahindra’s.
But championship point’s leader, Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) achieves a better lap than the Belgian to take the provisional pole position. Lucas Di Grassi (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport) made contact into the wall in third sector, and only got sixth place.
DS Virgin driver where the only guys who could beat Buemi’s time but, a mistake from both cars put him into 10th and 11th provisional place. In the other hand, Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi Racing) was able to set the second fastest lap of the session.
The last group fastest man, Jêrome d’Ambrossio (Dragon Racing) only managed to finish seventh, allowing the access for Super Pole to: Buemi, Sarrazin, Duval, Prost and Da Costa (Team Aguri).
Already in Super Pole, António Félix da Costa was the only man who improve his original position after the several problems that Nicolas Prost had with braking. Stéphane Sarrazin and Loïc Duval finished second and third, respectively, as Sébastien Buemi with a 1:20.196 lap time took the pole position, the second of the season, that give to him 3 points more in the standings to increase to 15 points between him and Lucas di Grassi.
