KRISTIANSTAD (SWEDEN)– Kristianstad Karting Klubb (Sweden) is the place where will take place the CIK-FIA OK-Junior World Championship, which is the most important competition for the OK-Junior class drivers. Qualifying practice will be next Friday 21th of September and the final will be on Sunday 23th of September.

One of the favorites to win the title is the 2018 OKJ European Champion, from Ricky Flynn Motorsport Paul Aron. Estonian driver did not give up because of his bad result in PFI (Great Britain) and won in Sarno (Italy) and Ampfing (Germany). All those victories, helped Aron to became Junior European champion,  only three points less was the Italian Gabriele Mini, Official Parolin driver who won the WSK Super Master Series this year.

Others drivers that can be considered as possible champions as well are the Brazilian from CRG Gabriel Bortoleto, who was 3rd in the European Championship standings, PFI race-winner Dilano VanT’Hoff, and the Russian Kirill Smal from Ward Racing.

Gabriel Bortoleto: “This is my second complete season with CRG Racing Team in OK Junior and I would like to capitalize on the work done and on my growth as a driver, getting the most of what the team has taught me so far. I am focused and positive about our potential, material, competence and experience of all our engineers and mechanics. I cannot wait to get on track.”

Tymek Kucharczyk: “This is my first race in OK-Junior class and it is being difficult. We have some problems with the chassis and the engine. But we are learning and I think tomorrow could be better. My goal is to be on the final. It will be quite difficult because there are a lot of drivers”.

Forza Racing got 1-2 victory last year in PFI (Great Britain) with Dexter Patterson and Christopher Lulham. 2018 OK European Vice Champion, Harry Thompson, completed the podium.
