Finnish driver Niko Kari joins MP Motorsport for his second season in GP3, while the Dutch team will make its debut in the series in 2018 after taking over the license of DAMS.
After spending his first full season in GP3, having won his first victory and after a very good end-of-year test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi : Niko Kari joins MP Motorsport for a second season in the series. Kari’s form was the reason for the conversations that eventually led to a contract between Kari and MP.
“I’m delighted to be able to drive for MP Motorsport,” said Kari. “We worked very well together during the test – in fact, our cooperation was so good that I really wanted to be part of the team, and I’m glad we were able to do business for my second season in GP3 and I hope that we will be able to repeat our test form in the season! ”

Kari finished the previous season of GP3 in tenth place. He crowned his season with a victory in Race 1 in Abu Dhabi. Earlier in the season, he also finished on the podium finishing third in Race 2 at Silverstone.
