Lirim Zendeli will replace banned Olli Caldwell at Campos Racing for Spa-Francorchamps FIA Formula 2 (F2) weekend.

Having attained 12 penalty points on his superlicense in the last F2 weekend at Hungaroring, Campos’ Caldwell was banned for the Spa-Francorchamps weekend as per the FIA regulations. He became the second driver after Amaury Cordeel to be banned this year.

With F2 returning this weekend from summer break at Spa-Francorchamps, Campos has announced the signing of Zendeli to replace Caldwell for the weekend. The German returns to the feeder series after racing for MP Motorsport last year.

Campos has lost its second driver as well after Ralph Boschung was replaced by Roberto Merhi, due to the Swiss driver down with severe facet syndrome. He raced in the first seven events and was replaced by the Spaniard in the last two rounds.
