Zach Veach surprised everyone yesterday by claiming pole position for the first race of IndyLights on the Road America, Wisconsin.


Zach Veach (Belardi Auto Racing) surprised everyone with a pole position only 0.01s faster than rookie Santiago Urrutia (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports).

Championship leader, Ed Jones (Carlin), finished third ahead of rookies coming from Formula Renault 3.5, André Negrao (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) and Dean Stoneman (Andretti Autosport).

Felix Serralles (Carlin) finished in sixth position ahead of Kyle Kaiser (Juncos Racing). Team Pelfrey had their drivers finished in eigth and and ninth, Garett Grist ahead of Juan Piedrahita.

Zachary Claman de Melo (Juncos Racing) complete the top ten while Felix Rosenqvist was not engaged as taken by his DTM duties in Norisring.
