The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) has released a 62-car entry list for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours race along with a reserve list.

Among the 62 entries for the 88th running of Le Mans 24 Hours on June 13-14 are the 30 full-season WEC competitors, with further 32 coming from European Le Mans, Asian Le Mans, IMSA’s WeatherTech and Le Mans Cup.

The LMP1 class has six teams with two hybrids of Toyota and four other non-hybrids, while the LMP2 class has 24 entrants, the LMGTE Pro having 11 and LMGTE Am having 20. In addition, they will one more special entrant dubbed as ‘Innovative Car’.

The list has 16 direct entries as a result of winning respective championships, while rest were chosen on the basis of their position and application. WEC has named 10 reserves for the Le Mans 24 Hours as well – which are in order of getting selected.

Among them five are for LMP2 class and five from the GTE category. ACO President revealed that 75 entries were received for the 2020 Le Mans race, where 62 were selected and 10 reserves were chosen, with only three not getting the nod.

The LMP2 class not only includes an all-women team but they will also have an all-disabled crew as well.
