Ex-Red Bull driver Mark Webber finished in third place his first race in WEC, which took part in Silverstone and had to be stopped with 30 minutes to go due to heavy rain and poor visibility.

Webber shared the Porsche LMP1 nº 20 with Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley. The Aussie was the last of the three drivers to step into the car when it already was in third place.

He didn’t have an easy stint because it started raining and it got worse while the laps passed. The Safety Car was out due to the difficult conditions and the race was red flagged in the end.

The race was won by the Toyota nº 8 driven by Sebastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Nicolas Lapierre. The Toyota nº 7 finished in second place while none of the Audi cars completed the race. The Porsche nº 14 had to retire too.
