The Ferrari Formula 1 team announced this morning the renewal agreement between the Maranello team and the multi-world champion Sebastian Vettel for three seasons.

All are good news for Ferrari this week, the Italian squad has closed its project for 2018 confirming Kimi Räikkönen during the week and doing the same today with Sebastian Vettel.

The German has renewed to stay with the Italian team forthree more seasons, thus closing any possibility for the reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi or the junior driver and championship leader in Formula 2 championship, Charles Leclerc.

Thirty years old, Sebastian Vettel entered Formula 1 in 2006 as a test driver for BMW Sauber. In 2007 he debuted with the German team replacing an injured Robert Kubica. An outstanding performance allowed him to join Toro Rosso for the reminder of the season.

In 2008 Toro Rosso got his first victory in Monza, a race that allowed him to sign for the Red Bull team in 2009 where he would win 4 races and finish as the runner-up.

A perfect preparation to get the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 championships with the Austrian team. A bad 2014 was the transition to sign for Ferrari with whom obtained three victories in 2015.

In 2016 it was a tough year with only 7 podiums, but with the new generation of cars this season 2017, Vettel has been immovable in the lead of the championship with 4 victories so far.
