The Van Amersfoort Racing cars were the fastest in the first practice session of Masters of Formula 3 at Zandvoort, Netherlands. Ilott led ahead of Hubert and Camara.
A special race in a special venue. The first practice session of the Masters of Formula 3, a race that doesn’t count for the FIA Formula 3 European championship, we saw the local team Van Amersfoort Racing leading, but the Motopark guys followed him closer.
So Ilott lead with Hubert second. Both drivers scored top positions in the FIA F3 round one month ago. Sergio Sette Camara, the pole sitter of 2015, finished third ahead of his Motopark team mates, Ericsson and Kari.
This top 5 are the favorites to fight for the victory this Sunday and also Beckmann –seventh, and Lorandi ninth.
Hitech GP guys who are racing with Albon and Scott –who is replacing Mazepin, finished on ninth and fourth-teen.
In the session there was two red flags. One caused by Colton Herta (Carlin) and the other by Ricky Capo (Fortec Motorsports).
