Sebastian Vettel (Scuderia Ferrari) wins the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, Brazil. The German finishes in front of Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes AMG) and teammate Kimi Raïkkonen makes it a Ferrari 1-3 by completing the podium in 3rd.
Very animated start to the race, with a first incident in the second corner when Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull Racing) runs wide and is then touched by Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren Honda), who got squeezed and touched by by Kevin Magnussen (Haas F1 Team). The latter one seeming the one to blame for the incident that will be investigated after the race.
Still in the first lap, Romain Grosjean (Haas F1 Team) looses control of his car and pushes Esteban Ocon (Force India) off track with him. Leading to the latter one having a puncture and too much damage to bring the car back to the stands. Safety car brought out due to the amount of debris on track and the first lap sees already 3 abandons for Vandoorne, Magnussen and Ocon.
At the re-start, we see a very strong Sebastian Vettel and further back we see Felipe Massa (Williams) passing Fernando Alonso (McLaren Honda) for 5th position. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes AMG) who started from the pitlane, is already up in 11th position and Daniel Ricciardo who found himself last after being hit is also fighting his way back to the front.
Valtteri Bottas is the first of the front runners to pit on lap 28, following his pitstop we see Sebastian Vettel pitting in the next lap. Mercedes clearly trying to undercut the Ferrari, but just not succeeding. All other drivers, who started on the super soft tyres pit for new softs, leading the field now is Lewis Hamilton. The brit still on his old soft tyres, with Vettel slowly but surely catching him.
On lap 44, Lewis Hamilton, who pits from the lead and Daniel Ricciardo both get into the pitlane for super soft tyres. Hamilton rejoining the field in 5th and Ricciardo in 7th, the latter one got out just behind Massa and is now fighting for 6th position. In the final stages of the race, we see a lot off battles unwinding. Bottas closing in on Vettel, Hamilton trying to pass Raïkkönen but not quite managing and Alonso closing in on Massa, joined by Perez in the last lap.
Sebastian Vettel wins the Brazilian Grand Prix, followed closely by Valtteri Bottas in 2nd. Kimi Raïkkönen finishes in 3rd, as he manged to keep Lewis Hamilton behind him in fourth. Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo finish in 5th and 6th, followed by Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Sergio Perez, Nico Hülkenberg and Carlos Sainz completes the top 10.
